Is it just me, or does this seem really ridiculous? The story itself just blantantly obvious. What I couldn't believe were the number of comments agreeing on the pointlessness of homework.
As much as I certainly hated doing homework as a kid, looking back I can see the point of it. It seems to me that even the best of teachers can only do so much... I think that learning how something is done and learning how to do something yourself are two different things. Homework is (or at least should be) meant for the latter.
